“The Duck Game Coat is the oldest piece in the collection, inspired by workwear and utility wear. It's the oldest duck coat I own, dating from the 1880s or 1990s. Its formal style, characterized by a rounded placket reminiscent of early sack coats, is striking. However, its details are purely practical. The reinforced shoulders, whistle pocket (on the chest), watch pocket (above the lower pocket), and detachable interior pocket are all specifically designed for hunting. The high armholes and A-line body allow for freedom of movement while maintaining a flattering aesthetic. Furthermore, this vintage coat was made by one of my favorite brands, making it a true piece of American clothing design history.”
